Job Description
Overview Join our team as a Cashier, Stocker, and some extra help with our socials. This job does includes some lifting and carrying of up to 40+ pounds. Working outside (with lots of fans!) and talking food all day, produce and recipes is usually a big topic among our customers. Every day is a little different here from Tuesday/Thursday produce stock ups, Wednesday at home delivery packing and Tuesday/Thursday chef and restaurant packing. It's never boring! Schedule Tuesday-Friday 12:00-5:00 + Saturdays 8:00-2:00 (a couple per month) Duties Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately to process transactions efficiently and handle cash, credit, or digital payments. Greet customers warmly with a cheerful attitude and assist them with their shopping needs. Stock shelves by receiving deliveries, organizing products neatly, and ensuring items are available for customers. Maintain clean and organized checkout areas and store displays through effective merchandising. Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions, offering product recommendations, and maintaining phone etiquette when assisting remotely. Requirements Previous experience with POS systems, cashiering, or retail sales is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Supervising experience is a plus for those interested in leadership opportunities. Bilingual skills are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with customers and team members. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and performing retail math calculations. Knowledge of produce or willingness to learn. Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work flexible hours including weekends.
