Job Description

Essential Functions:
FLOOR Be an instructor in the subject of work to all who come to Goodwill for training or job placement assistance. In that, work ethic is more caught than taught you will teach others by your own work ethic and passion for quality. Greet and assist customers in merchandise selection. Operate store cash register in compliance with company policies and procedures. Close out assigned cash drawer at the end of shift and balance cash amounts. Ensure good customer relations and direct complaints to the proper authorities. Rotate merchandise from sales floor as instructed. Properly record rotation numbers. Assist in display and merchandise presentation of sales floor. Maintain store housekeeping to company standards. Comply with all company safety and security policies and procedures. Cross train in other workstations. All other duties as assigned by manager.
PRODUCTION

Pre-sort donations into proper work stations. Determine quality of merchandise and prepare merchandise for sales floor. Remove rejected merchandise to salvage trailer or dumpster per company procedure. Assist truck drivers in loading and unloading trailers. Properly record production and rotation numbers. Comply with all company safety and security policies and procedures. Ensure good customer relations and direct complaints to proper authorities. Rotate merchandise from sales floor as instructed. Maintain store housekeeping to company standards. Cross train in other workstations.
Knowledge and Ability Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED preferred. Basic math functions. Good communication skills required. Good interpersonal skills required. The ability to push, pull and lift 50 lbs. with or without accommodations and work at least 8 hours per scheduled workday. The ability to work a flexible, rotating work schedule to include evenings and weekends as assigned.
