Duties Supervise and coordinate cashier team activities, ensuring smooth shift operations and adherence to company policies Oversee cash handling procedures, including balancing registers, processing refunds, and managing discrepancies with precision Train new employees on POS (Point of Sale) systems, customer service standards, and operational protocols Manage inventory at checkout points, including stock replenishment, pricing adjustments, and merchandising to optimize sales Conduct employee orientation sessions, performance evaluations, and ongoing training to foster team development Implement sales strategies by promoting store promotions and upselling products to enhance revenue Maintain accurate bookkeeping records related to daily transactions, payroll processing, and inventory management Qualifications Proven experience in retail sales management with supervisory or managerial roles such as Assistant Manager or Head Cashier Strong knowledge of POS systems, cash handling procedures, and inventory control techniques Excellent communication skills in multiple languages; bilingual abilities are highly desirable Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in team management, training & development, and operational oversight Proficiency in retail math for pricing adjustments, budgeting, and sales analysis Ability to handle complex negotiations with vendors or suppliers when purchasing or managing inventory Familiarity with payroll processing, bookkeeping practices, and basic accounting principles Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment Experience in supervising retail industry sales teams within grocery or general merchandise stores is preferred Strong customer service orientation combined with phone etiquette and conflict resolution skills Join us as a Head Cashier to lead our team with energy and confidence!
