We are looking for a friendly, motivated, reliable, hard working cashier to join our team. Shifts needed are mostly nights 3/4pm- 830pm mon-sat please dont apply if you cant work friday or saturday nights. We do need some day time availability here and there for a saturday lunch shift which would be 10am-3pm Reliability is important, we expect our team to work the days they are scheduled. Cashier is responsible for maintaining a clean workplace, take both in person and phone togo orders, bagging them correctly, and assisting with minor kitchen side jobs like making sauce cups and preparing appetizers before shifts. Responsibilities Operate the cash register (POS system) accurately during retail sales transactions, including scanning items, processing payments, and issuing receipts Provide friendly and professional customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries or demos Handle cash drawer responsibilities with precision, including cash handling, balancing registers, and managing cash drawer reconciliation at shift end Upsell products and promote store promotions to enhance sales opportunities while maintaining a positive attitude Stock shelves, merchandise products, and ensure the sales floor is neat, organized, and fully stocked to maximize product visibility Maintain excellent phone etiquette when answering customer calls or inquiries to ensure clear communication Assist with product demos when applicable to educate customers about features and benefits of merchandise Support inventory management tasks such as stocking supplies and participating in periodic stock counts Requirements Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred; familiarity with grocery store operations is a plus Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in bilingual settings if applicable Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and managing cash register operations Experience with POS systems and cashiering duties is highly desirable Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service with a friendly demeanor and professional phone etiquette Supervising experience or leadership skills are advantageous for supporting team efforts and ensuring smooth store operations Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising techniques, and retail math principles Ability to stand for extended periods, lift merchandise as needed, and perform physical tasks related to stocking and cashiering Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering outstanding shopping experiences!
