Garbonzo's Pizza is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Cashier to support daily restaurant operations and provide efficient service to guests. This role involves welcoming customers, taking food and beverage orders, processing payments, answering basic menu questions, and helping maintain a clean and organized front-counter area. The ideal candidate is attentive, reliable, and comfortable working in a busy pizza restaurant environment. Key Responsibilities Welcome customers and provide friendly, professional service. Take dine-in, takeout, pickup, and delivery orders accurately. Operate the POS system and process cash, card, and other approved payments. Answer basic questions about menu items, pricing, and restaurant offerings. Confirm order details and communicate special requests clearly with kitchen staff. Provide receipts and assist with routine customer requests. Organize completed orders for pickup, takeout, and delivery. Keep the register, counter, and customer-service areas clean and organized. Restock bags, containers, napkins, utensils, and other front-counter supplies. Assist coworkers with routine customer-service and restaurant duties during busy periods. Help maintain smooth customer and order flow throughout the shift. Support opening and closing duties as assigned. Follow cash-handling, food-safety, sanitation, and restaurant procedures. Qualifications Previous cashier, restaurant, pizza shop, café, retail, or customer-service experience is helpful. Friendly, professional, and respectful approach to customers. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Reliable, punctual, and responsible. Comfortable learning POS and payment procedures. Good attention to detail and order accuracy. Able to remain organized during busy service periods. Willingness to learn menu items and restaurant procedures. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
