Responsibilities Operate the cash register (POS system) accurately to process retail sales transactions, including cash handling and credit card payments Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries or demos Upsell products and promote store specials to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and assist with merchandising to ensure the store remains attractive and well-organized Maintain a clean and orderly checkout area, handle cash drawer handling responsibly, and perform basic math calculations for transactions Support product demos when needed to educate customers about features and benefits of items Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely Qualifications Previous cashiering experience in retail or grocery stores is preferred; familiarity with POS systems is a plus Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers confidently in bilingual environments if applicable Experience supervising or leading small teams is advantageous but not required Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising, and grocery store operations enhances performance Basic math skills for accurate cash register operations and retail math calculations Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and positive demeanor Ability to handle cash registers efficiently, manage cash drawer handling responsibly, and perform retail sales transactions accurately Prior experience in upselling, product demos, stocking, or retail sales is highly valued Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering outstanding service while growing your skills in a fast-paced retail environment!
