This position helps create a welcoming dining experience by maintaining an organized cashier station, assisting customers, and supporting the food service team as needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Greet students, staff, and guests in a friendly and professional manner. Accurately process cafeteria purchases using the point-of-sale (POS) system. Handle cash and other forms of payment according to established procedures. Maintain an accurate cash drawer and follow proper cash-handling procedures. Assist students and customers with questions regarding menu items and purchases. Keep the cashier station, serving area, and surrounding work areas clean, organized, and stocked. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures. Assist with light food service, stocking, setup, and cleanup as needed. Work cooperatively with other team members to provide efficient service during busy meal periods. Follow Quest policies, school procedures, and applicable health and safety requirements. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous cashier, food service, retail, or customer service experience preferred, but not required. Ability to provide friendly and professional customer service. Basic math skills and ability to accurately handle cash and transactions. Ability to learn and operate a point-of-sale system. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team. Must meet any applicable school or client-site requirements. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions associated with cashier and food service duties. Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds as needed.
