Overview Kolaches are a new concept to Fort Wayne, here is a chance to help us bring these tasty treats to our area and be one of the first to try some yourself too! Our customers come in hungry early so our cashiers open the doors at 6 a.m. but we are closed at 2 p.m. daily allowing for a great daytime schedule to work. Duties Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers and answering questions. Answer phone in a professional and courteous manner; takes to-go orders. Keep calm in rush/pressured situations and maintains a positive & professional demeanor with guests even while busy. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process customer transactions accurately and efficiently. Upsell products and promote special offers. Maintain an organized checkout area, including stocking merchandise and ensuring cleanliness of counter, display, and lobby/dining area. Utilize retail math skills to manage transactions and provide accurate change to customers, maintains a balanced cash drawer. Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed. Adheres to health department codes regarding food sanitation and handling. Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure smooth operations. Performs other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction management. Excellent verbal communication skills and phone etiquette. Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time. Able to reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds.
