Cashier P4 Automotive - 1.3 Indianapolis, IN Job Details Full-time $15 - $20 an hour 6 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Automotive Cashier / Receptionist We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and detail-oriented Automotive Cashier / Receptionist to join our dealership team. This position is an important part of the customer experience, serving as a welcoming point of contact while ensuring payments, transactions, and dealership records are handled accurately and professionally. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, is comfortable handling financial transactions, and can stay organized while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and provide professional, courteous assistance. Process customer payments for service, parts, vehicle purchases, and other dealership transactions. Accept cash, checks, and credit/debit card payments and provide accurate receipts. Maintain and balance the cash drawer and reconcile daily transactions. Answer incoming telephone calls and direct customers to the appropriate department or team member. Assist customers with basic questions regarding invoices, payments, and dealership services. Review repair orders, invoices, and transaction documentation for accuracy. Scan, file, organize, and maintain dealership records and paperwork. Assist with incoming and outgoing mail and other general administrative duties. Prepare daily cashier and transaction reports. Work closely with the Service, Parts, Sales, and Accounting departments to resolve payment or documentation questions. Maintain confidentiality when handling customer, employee, and financial information. Help create a welcoming and professional experience for every customer. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Previous experience in cashiering, customer service, reception, retail, banking, hospitality, restaurants, or office administration preferred. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Comfortable handling cash and financial transactions. Ability to prioritize responsibilities and multitask in a busy environment. Basic computer skills and the ability to learn dealership software and systems. Professional, dependable, organized, and team-oriented. Automotive dealership experience is helpful, but not required . Who We're Looking For You do not need previous automotive experience to be successful in this position. If you have worked in retail, banking, hospitality, restaurants, customer service, reception, or another fast-paced customer-facing environment , your skills may transfer very well to this role. We are looking for someone who takes pride in helping people, communicates well, stays organized, and understands that accuracy and great customer service go hand in hand.
