Job Overview We are seeking a versatile and dedicated individual to join our team as a Cashier, Stocker at Raceway Vidalia.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage in food service, food preparation, and customer interaction within a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for culinary arts, excellent food handling skills, and the ability to provide exceptional service to our customers. Prior experience in the food industry, including restaurant or culinary experience, is highly valued. This position is perfect for someone looking to develop their skills in a fast-paced setting while contributing to a positive dining experience. Duties Operate cash register efficiently and accurately, handling transactions and providing friendly customer service Stock shelves and maintain cleanliness of the dining and kitchen areas Prepare food items according to menu specifications, including meal preparation and food safety standards Assist in menu planning and food presentation to ensure quality and consistency Cook and serve meals with attention to detail, ensuring proper food handling and safety procedures are followed Maintain inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, restocking as needed Support catering events or special functions as required Ensure compliance with all health regulations and safety standards during food preparation and service Provide excellent customer service by serving guests promptly and courteously Qualifications Previous experience in food service, restaurant work, or culinary roles preferred Knowledge of food handling, safety standards, and proper sanitation practices Skills in cooking, meal preparation, knife handling, and food presentation Experience with menu planning or fine dining is a plus Strong communication skills with the ability to work well within a team Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment Dietary aide or dietary department experience is advantageous but not required Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends or holidays if needed This role offers an engaging environment for individuals passionate about food service and culinary arts.
