Self-Service Gas Station:

Canaan Fuels was founded in the summer of 2006 by two brothers, with the purchase of 2-pump full-service station in Taunton, Massachusetts. They quickly transformed the old station into a modern, busy convenience store and 4-pump self-service station that is the number one go-to stop for many of the locals in the area. Since 2006, they have grown their business into a small chain of gas stations and convenience stores with various locations around the south shore. Canaan Market's mission is to provide the most valuable products to motorists at the lowest price. We love catering to locals, who appreciate that we're a family owned and operated business. What will you do? To be eligible for hire, one must be able to perform different tasks both in the store and around the station. This position includes (but is not limited to): cleaning the store and following all federal and state laws regarding the sale of tobacco, lottery and other stocking merchandise. Sales associates must perform daily deep cleaning programs outlined in checklist format. It is very important that you are able to follow this protocol for regulatory maintenance and sanitation purposes. Additionally, you must learn the safety procedures for the station's gas pumps in the event of an emergency. Complete duties and paid training will be provided by management. Lastly, you must be comfortable working with the general public and directing all comments to the manager on duty during your shift. Canaan Fuels expects all of our sales associates to arrive to work on time and greet all customers with respect and professionalism. It is also important to remember that gas stations are open every day of the year. Our attendants have a fixed schedule and must request time off 2 weeks in advance.Required Skills:
- Prior gas station attendance experience is preferred. Experience with cash handling and familiarity with the Massachusetts State Lottery will be prioritized!
- Ability to respectfully communicate with the public in a friendly and enthusiastic manner.
- Complete all assigned tasks in a timely manner.
- Ability to perform routine cleaning protocols from a checklist-format.
Pay:
$17.00- $18.
