Overview Join our dynamic team as a Gas Station Attendant and Cashier, where you'll be at the forefront of providing exceptional service to customers while ensuring smooth operations at our busy fueling station. Whether assisting with fuel transactions, stocking products, or engaging with customers, you'll play a vital part in creating a positive experience for everyone who visits. Duties Operate cash register systems (POS) efficiently for retail sales transactions, including handling cash, credit cards, and mobile payments with accuracy and integrity Provide friendly and professional customer service by answering questions, offering product recommendations, and conducting product demos when appropriate Manage fuel pump operations and monitor station safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for staff and customers Stock shelves with convenience store products, merchandise displays, and grocery items, maintaining an organized and appealing store layout Monitor store conditions and report any issues to the manager Keep the cashier area, store, and customer areas clean Follow store safety and security procedures Upsell additional products or services to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities Maintain cleanliness of the station area, including fueling stations, store interior, and outdoor spaces; perform routine stocking and merchandising tasks Handle cash drawer balancing at the end of each shift with precise retail math skills and attention to detail Perform other general store duties as needed Experience Prior experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is highly preferred Demonstrated proficiency in cash register operations (POS systems) and cash handling procedures Supervising experience is a plus, especially in managing team members or overseeing daily station operations Bilingual skills are advantageous for serving diverse customer bases effectively Strong communication skills with excellent phone etiquette to assist customers over the phone or in person Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising techniques, and basic math skills for accurate transactions Previous experience in grocery stores or convenience stores will help you hit the ground running
