Cashier & Guest Experience Associate Compensation Starting Pay:
$19.00-$20.00/hour About the Role We are looking for a friendly, energetic, dependable, and customer-focused Cashier & Guest Experience Associate to join our team in Frederick. The cashier is one of the most important positions in our store. You are often the first person a customer sees and the last person they interact with before leaving . That means we're looking for someone who can combine genuine hospitality with speed, accuracy, and professionalism.

What You'll Do Greet every customer promptly and warmly. Provide friendly, professional, and efficient checkout service. Operate the POS/register accurately and efficiently. Process cash, credit/debit cards, and other approved forms of payment. Verify identification in accordance with company policy and applicable laws. Follow all legal requirements and company policies regarding the sale of alcoholic beverages. Maintain accurate cash handling and minimize register discrepancies. Assist customers in locating products throughout the store. Answer basic questions about products, promotions, pricing, and store policies. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional checkout area. Keep checkout displays and merchandise properly stocked. Monitor the front end and proactively identify when customers need assistance. Help maintain overall store cleanliness and presentation. Assist with stocking and other store tasks during slower periods. Communicate customer concerns, product issues, or operational problems to management. Help create a welcoming environment for every customer. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is: Friendly and naturally personable. Dependable and punctual. Comfortable interacting with a wide variety of customers. Able to remain calm and professional during busy periods. Accurate with cash and transactions. Comfortable learning and using POS/register technology. Able to work quickly without becoming careless. Detail-oriented. A strong communicator. Comfortable standing for extended periods. Willing to help with stocking, cleaning, and other store responsibilities. Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require. Able to meet all applicable legal requirements for working around the sale of alcoholic beverages. Previous cashier, retail, restaurant, hospitality, grocery, or liquor-store experience is a plus, but not required for the right candidate. We're more interested in your attitude, reliability, work ethic, and ability to take care of customers. The Checkout Experience We want every transaction to feel: Fast. Friendly. Accurate. Follow ID and alcohol-sale procedures consistently. Maintain a professional checkout area. Deliver exceptional customer service without being reminded. Keep lines moving efficiently. Handle customer questions and concerns professionally. Jump in and help teammates when needed. Represent the store positively every shift. Pay may increase based on experience, availability, performance, reliability, and demonstrated ability to take on additional responsibilities.
