A Head Cashier manages all checkout functions including ensuring adequate staffing levels on checkouts, the processing of sales transactions and refunds, monitoring cash drawer amounts and maintaining the checkout area. Head cashier provides first level escalation for customer issues and assists in the supervision and training of cashiers. Head cashier may also be responsible for opening or closing procedures of a store, including alarm operation, unlocking store and setting up of checkout area.

PART TIME POSITION JOB SUMMARY

: Collects cash from patrons for items sold in cafeteria according to established procedures, supervises the activities of the cafeteria cooks in absence of cafeteria supervisor and prepares cash reports, verifies and deposits cash receipts.

REQUIREMENTS

: Entry level knowledge; basic employment skills; High School Diploma, GED equivalent or High School certificate. 1-3 years of experience.
