Responsibilities Operate cash registers accurately, handling all retail sales transactions with precision and efficiency Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries Manage cash drawer handling, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed at all times Upsell products and promote store specials to enhance sales and improve the customer experience Stock shelves and merchandise displays to maintain an organized and inviting store environment Conduct product demos when applicable to showcase features and benefits to customers Maintain phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or through online inquiries Support merchandising efforts by organizing products according to store standards and promoting new items Skills Proficiency in POS (Point of Sale) systems and cash register operations Prior retail sales experience, preferably in grocery or similar retail environments Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively Bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases Basic math skills for handling transactions, giving correct change, and balancing cash drawers Experience in cashiering, retail math, and retail store product knowledge Supervising experience is advantageous for supporting team efforts during busy periods Knowledge of grocery store operations, stocking procedures, and merchandising techniques Excellent phone etiquette for professional communication with customers and vendors Embark on a rewarding journey where your proactive attitude and dedication will make a difference every day.
