• Job Summary:

• We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Lead Cashier to join our dynamic team. The Lead Cashier will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring seamless cash handling operations within our store. This key role requires a strong background in sales, cash handling, and retail math, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for customer service.

• Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and provide a welcoming shopping experience, answering questions and offering product recommendations
• Accurately handle cash transactions, including processing payments and making change
• Maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail in the cash handling process
• Manage and balance cash register, ensuring accurate records and minimizing errors
• Utilize strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively resolve customer complaints and concerns
• Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of store inventory and promotions
• Maintain a clean and organized store environment, adhering to company policies and procedures; which includes communicating and delegating with coworkers.
• Participate in ongoing training and development to stay up-to-date on product knowledge and customer service skills.
• Model and promote company values and culture

• Skills:

• Proven experience in retail sales or a related field
• Strong sales skills, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service
• Experience in cash handling and retail math
• Working closely with Produce Manager to ensure an effective and smooth running of the front of the store while supervising cashiers.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to effectively communicate and build rapport with customers and employees
• Knowledge of products, with a willingness to learn and expand product knowledge
• Experience in Customer/Employee relations
• Proficiency in handling cash and managing a cash register
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy
• Ability to maintain a clean and organized store environment
• Strong commitment to company values and culture
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training and development
• Ability to be felxible in hours and shifts as needed.
