Overview:

Houghton County Transfer Station is looking for a part-time Cashier and floor personnel. This position would rotate Saturday shifts.

Duties:

Transaction Processing, handling cash, card and checks using a register Customer service, greeting customers, and helping the general public Assisting customers unload vehicles and where to dispose of their items. Responsible for loading/unlaoding containers to get semi's ready to transport loads to the landfill, operating heavy equipment, performing general maintenance, and assisting customers at the Materials Management Facility. This position requires a team-oriented individual with mechanical aptitude and strong work ethic.

Requirements:

Schedule varies Monday through Saturday. This will be two to four 8 hour shifts per week. Experience with POS systems, cash register operations, and cash drawer handling is essential Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional phone etiquette

Pay:

From $20.78 per hour Expected hours: 16.0 - 30.0 per week
