Gas Station Cashier

Responsibilities Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately to process fuel sales, retail purchases, and payments Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, answering questions, and addressing concerns with professionalism Conduct product demos for new or featured items to promote sales and enhance customer engagement Upsell additional products such as snacks, beverages, or car accessories to maximize sales opportunities Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier area, shelves, and merchandising displays Stock shelves regularly, ensuring products are well-presented and inventory levels are adequate Handle cash transactions with accuracy, including cash handling procedures and balancing registers at shift end Requirements Previous cashiering experience in retail or grocery store environments is preferred Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math for accurate cash handling and transactions Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs Experience supervising or leading team members is advantageous but not required Knowledge of phone etiquette for professional communication over the phone or in person Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately for sales and change management Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor Prior experience in merchandising, stocking, or retail sales is beneficial Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays Join us in creating a vibrant environment where customer satisfaction is our top priority!
