Overview We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier to join our team at Store 61 in Lee's Summit, MO. This vital role involves managing retail sales transactions, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring accurate cash handling. The ideal candidate will be proactive, communicative, and eager to contribute to a positive shopping experience for all customers. Responsibilities Operate the cash register efficiently, handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions accurately Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly and assisting with product inquiries Manage retail sales transactions using POS (Point of Sale) systems while maintaining accuracy in cash drawer handling Upsell products and promote store promotions through product demos and effective communication skills Stock shelves as needed and assist with merchandising to ensure the store remains organized and inviting Maintain phone etiquette when responding to customer inquiries or coordinating with team members Support inventory management by participating in stocking activities and product replenishment Qualifications Previous experience with POS systems and cash register operations is preferred Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership skills in retail settings is a plus Bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse customer bases Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and customer service expertise Basic math skills necessary for retail math calculations, cash handling, and balancing the cash drawer Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising, and upselling techniques Ability to perform retail sales transactions accurately while maintaining a friendly demeanor This position offers an engaging environment where your enthusiasm for retail sales and dedication to customer satisfaction will be valued.
