What they do

A Head Cashier manages all checkout functions including ensuring adequate staffing levels on checkouts, the processing of sales transactions and refunds, monitoring cash drawer amounts and maintaining the checkout area. Head cashier provides first level escalation for customer issues and assists in the supervision and training of cashiers. Head cashier may also be responsible for opening or closing procedures of a store, including alarm operation, unlocking store and setting up of checkout area.

Collect, sort, count, verify cash and gaming chips. Maintain accurate records in accordance with applicable regulations, policies and procedures.
Essential Job Functions:
Excellent internal/external guest service; Familiar and adherence with MS Gaming/Tax Commission regulations and internal policies and procedures as they relate to the drop and count; Assist in the collection and processing of tables and slot drops; Sort contents of drop boxes by denomination in cash and chips; Count, verify and record games revenue; Properly document markers; Computer input; Other reasonable duties as assigned.
