Duties Operate cash registers and POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately during retail sales transactions, including scanning items, applying discounts, and processing various payment methods. Handle cash, credit/debit card transactions, and electronic payments with precision, ensuring proper cash drawer handling and balancing at the end of shifts. Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions about products. Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, restock merchandise as needed, and support merchandising efforts to promote store products effectively. Demonstrate proficiency in retail math to calculate totals, discounts, taxes, and change accurately. Communicate clearly with customers during a daily shift. Qualifications Previous experience in cashiering or retail sales is preferred; supervisory experience is a plus. Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations. Strong basic math skills for handling transactions accurately. Excellent communication skills, bilingual abilities are advantageous. Knowledge of retail store product lines and merchandising techniques. Ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.
