Duties Operate cash registers accurately, handling cash, credit/debit cards, and other payment methods with precision. Process retail sales transactions efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service standards. Assist customers with product inquiries, providing product demos and merchandising information to enhance their shopping experience. Sell additional products or services to maximize sales opportunities in a friendly and professional manner. Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure the sales floor remains clean, attractive, and well-organized. Maintain accurate cash drawer handling procedures and reconcile register totals at shift end. Use POS (Point of Sale) systems confidently to record transactions and manage inventory updates when necessary. Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or scheduling product demos. Support team members by supervising or assisting with stocking tasks during slower periods. Engage in retail store product knowledge training to better assist customers and improve sales techniques. Qualifications Previous cashiering experience in a retail environment is highly preferred. Strong communication skills with the ability to provide excellent customer service in a bilingual setting is a plus. Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and basic math for cash handling and retail math calculations. Experience with merchandising, stocking, and product demonstrations enhances your fit for this role. Demonstrated ability to upsell products while maintaining a positive attitude and professional phone etiquette. Supervising experience is advantageous for those interested in leadership opportunities within the team.
