As a Cashier, you will be responsible for accurately processing transactions, assisting customers, and maintaining a clean and organized area. Duties Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process customer transactions efficiently and accurately. Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed. Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and addressing any concerns. Upsell products and promote special offers to enhance the experience and increase sales. Assist with product demonstrations to educate customers about new items or promotions. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area, including stocking supplies as needed. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours. Utilize effective communication skills to interact with customers and team members in a professional manner. Qualifications Previous experience in cashiering or retail sales is preferred. Strong basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on phone etiquette. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply as it enhances customer interaction. Experience in merchandising and stocking is a plus. Supervising experience is advantageous for potential growth within the company.
