Maintain knowledge of current promotions, products, and services to effectively sell and upsell items to customers. Collaborate with team members to ensure the store is well-stocked and organized, including restocking shelves as necessary. Assist in managing inventory levels by reporting stock shortages or discrepancies to supervisors. Provide support in supervising junior staff members when required, fostering a collaborative work environment. Utilize retail math skills to accurately process sales and returns while maintaining accurate records of transactions. Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and surrounding spaces. Qualifications Previous experience in customer service or retail sales is preferred but not mandatory. Strong cash handling skills with attention to detail in processing transactions. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers and team members. Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated. Familiarity with grocery store operations is a plus but not required; training will be provided. Basic understanding of retail math concepts is beneficial for managing transactions efficiently.
