This role involves welcoming customers, taking food and beverage orders, processing payments, answering basic menu questions, and helping maintain a clean and organized service area. The ideal candidate is attentive, professional, and comfortable working in a busy restaurant environment. Key Responsibilities Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional service. Take dine-in, takeout, and other customer orders accurately. Operate the POS system and process cash, card, and other approved payments. Answer basic questions about menu items, pricing, and restaurant offerings. Confirm order details and communicate customer requests clearly with kitchen and service staff. Provide receipts and assist with routine checkout requests. Organize completed orders for pickup, takeout, or table service. Keep the register, counter, and front-of-house areas clean and organized. Restock bags, containers, napkins, utensils, and other service supplies. Assist coworkers with routine customer-service and restaurant duties during busy periods. Help maintain smooth customer and order flow throughout the shift. Follow cash-handling, food-safety, sanitation, and restaurant procedures. Support opening, closing, and other daily restaurant responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Previous cashier, restaurant, café, retail, or customer-service experience is helpful. Friendly, respectful, and professional approach to guests. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Reliable, punctual, and responsible. Comfortable learning POS and payment procedures. Good attention to detail and transaction accuracy. Able to remain organized during busy service periods. Willingness to learn menu information and restaurant procedures.
