Job Description Iris Coffee Lab is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Cashier to support daily coffee shop operations. This role involves welcoming customers, taking beverage and food orders, processing payments, answering basic questions about menu items, and maintaining a clean and organized service area. The ideal candidate is attentive, professional, and comfortable working in a busy café environment. Key Responsibilities Welcome customers and provide friendly, professional service. Take coffee, beverage, and food orders accurately. Operate the POS system and process cash, card, and other approved payments. Answer basic questions about coffee, tea, food items, and café offerings. Confirm order details and communicate customer requests clearly with baristas and team members. Provide receipts and assist with dine-in, pickup, and takeout orders. Organize completed orders and help maintain smooth customer flow. Keep the register, counter, and customer-service areas clean and organized. Restock cups, lids, bags, napkins, utensils, and other café supplies. Assist coworkers with routine café duties during busy service periods. Follow cash-handling, food-safety, sanitation, and cleanliness procedures. Support opening, closing, and other daily coffee shop responsibilities. Qualifications Previous cashier, café, coffee shop, restaurant, retail, or customer-service experience is helpful. Friendly, respectful, and professional approach to customers. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Reliable, punctual, and responsible. Good attention to detail and transaction accuracy. Comfortable working in a fast-paced coffee shop environment. Able to learn POS systems, menu information, and café procedures. Willingness to follow instructions and established company standards.
