Responsibilities Operate POS systems to process sales quickly and accurately Greet customers warmly and assist with their purchases Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision and integrity Maintain knowledge of store products for effective upselling and product demos Ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and well-stocked Assist with merchandising and stocking shelves as needed Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions and resolving issues promptly Promote store promotions and participate in product demonstrations when required Uphold phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or via online inquiries Support supervising staff with daily operations and customer interactions Requirements Previous experience with cashiering, retail sales, or grocery store operations preferred Proficiency with POS systems and basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor Bilingual abilities are a plus to assist diverse customer needs Experience in supervising or leading small teams is advantageous Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and upselling techniques beneficial Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating positive shopping experiences
