Responsibilities Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately to process retail sales transactions, including cash handling and credit card payments Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries or demos Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure products are properly displayed according to merchandising standards Upsell products and promote store specials to enhance sales opportunities Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including cash drawer handling and balancing at the end of shifts Assist with inventory management by receiving shipments, stocking new items, and conducting stock counts Demonstrate product features or conduct product demos when needed to educate customers and boost sales Use effective phone etiquette when communicating with customers or vendors over the phone Support team members with supervising tasks as needed, fostering a collaborative work environment Apply basic math skills for cash register operations, pricing adjustments, and sales calculations Experience Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not required; training will be provided Familiarity with POS systems and retail math enhances performance in this role Supervising experience is a plus for those interested in leadership development opportunities Bilingual skills are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively Strong communication skills and excellent phone etiquette are essential for engaging with customers and team members Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising techniques, and upselling strategies will support success in this position Join us as a Cashier/Stocker to be part of a lively team that values proactive service, teamwork, and customer satisfaction.
