Japanese Sushi Restaurant Job Description We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Cashier to join our Japanese sushi restaurant team. The cashier will be responsible for greeting customers, taking orders, processing payments, and providing excellent customer service while helping maintain a clean and welcoming front counter area. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, professional service Take dine-in, takeout, phone, and online orders accurately Operate the restaurant POS/cash register system Process cash, credit/debit card, and other payments Answer customer questions about menu items, prices, and special requests Package and check takeout orders for accuracy Maintain a clean and organized cashier/front counter area Restock front counter supplies when needed Handle customer concerns politely and professionally Follow restaurant food safety, sanitation, and cash-handling procedures Perform other restaurant duties as needed Qualifications Previous cashier or restaurant experience preferred, but training is available Friendly, positive, and professional attitude Strong customer service and communication skills Able to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment Reliable and punctual Basic cash-handling skills Able to work well as part of a team Ability to speak English Schedule Flexible scheduling Weekend and evening availability is a plus What We Offer Competitive hourly pay Flexible scheduling Friendly and supportive work environment Employee meal/discount order Opportunities for additional hours based on performance and availability
