Full Job Description Honest Weight Food Co-op Part Time, Front End Cashier Overview:
To check out customers' product selections in a prompt, accurate, and courteous manner, while providing friendly customer service and being attentive to our customers' inquiries, requests and needs.
Status :
Part Time, $17.00/hour, various shifts, 10-15 hours weekly, evenings and weekends required
Supervisor:
Front End Manager Job Responsibilities :
Customer/ Member Serivce:
Greet Customers and make eye contact. Inquire about their membership status Knowledgeable of HWFC Front End policies Answer customers' questions and refer unanswerable questions or concerns to a Front-End Manager Serve each customer as efficiently as possible. If a problem arises, call for assistance Always offer to bag/box customers' orders and then bag if offer is accepted If a customer requires assistance with their order, contact a courtesy clerk or call a FE Manager on duty
Cashiering:
Inform a FE Manager, or keep written verification of any price/scanning/PLU discrepancies Follow all Front End policies and procedures for cash handling, electronic tenders, and check approval Maintain a clean and organized work station. Wipe up spills/leaks promptly and keep conveyer belt clean for future customers Open and cash out registers following all established procedures. Bring any discrepancies to the FE Floor Manager's attention Alert a FE Floor Manager to potential shoplifters, disorderly or disruptive customers, and other emergencies Attend cashiers' meetings and read/initial any information that may be posted
Additional Tasks/ Supplemental Duties:
Distribute bags to the registers Refill register supplies including tokens, utensils, rubber bands, and coffee/juice cards Keep register end-caps and magazine racks clean and organized
