Responsibilities Operate the cash register and POS (Point of Sale) system accurately to process retail sales transactions, returns, and exchanges. Handle cash drawer operations with precision, including cash handling, balancing registers, and reconciling daily sales. Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and offering product information or demos when needed. Assist with stocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and maintaining attractive product displays to support merchandising efforts. Upsell products and promote store promotions or special offers to enhance sales opportunities. Maintain phone etiquette when answering inquiries or directing calls professionally. Support inventory management by participating in stock replenishment and ensuring retail store product knowledge is up-to-date for effective customer assistance. Experience Previous cashiering experience in a retail environment is preferred, especially with POS systems and cash register operations. Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership skills in managing customer interactions or team tasks. Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively. Strong communication skills are essential for engaging customers confidently and clearly. Basic math skills are necessary for handling transactions accurately and managing cash drawers efficiently. Experience in retail sales, merchandising, product demos, and upselling will help you excel in this role. Familiarity with retail store product knowledge and stock management enhances your ability to assist customers comprehensively.
