Locust Ave Deli is hiring a friendly and reliable Weekday Lunch Cashier to provide extra help during our busy lunch rush.

Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 11:00 AM-3:00 PMApproximately 20 hours per weekNo nights or weekends

Responsibilities:

Answer phones and take customer orders accurately Operate the cash register and Toast POS system Greet customers and provide friendly service Pack takeout and delivery orders Restock the front counter as needed Help keep the register and customer areas clean and organized

Requirements:

Must be available Monday through Friday from 11:00 AM-3:00 PM Dependable, punctual, and comfortable working in a fast-paced deli Friendly and confident speaking with customers on the phone and in person Cashier or customer-service experience is preferred, but we will train the right person

Pay:

$18-$19 per hour, depending on experience. Operate the cash register and POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process retail sales transactions Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and assisting with product information or demos Handle cash, credit card, and digital payments with precision, ensuring proper cash drawer handling and balancing at shift end Upsell products and promote store specials to enhance sales opportunities Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and assist in merchandising efforts to maintain an attractive store presentation Maintain professional phone etiquette when addressing customer inquiries or coordinating store activities Support product demos to educate customers about features and benefits

Pay:

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
