530B Jericho Turnpike, Mineola, NY 11501 Ikedo is a woman-owned neighborhood restaurant serving Japanese comfort food in Mineola. We are looking for a dependable, friendly team member to take orders, help guests, and keep our front counter running smoothly. This role involves more than working the register. You will also help with takeout orders, delivery pickups, dine-in service, and keeping the restaurant clean and stocked. We work as a small team, so everyone needs to communicate and help where needed. What you will do Greet guests, take orders accurately, and process cash and card payments. Learn the menu and help guests with questions. Check with the kitchen or a manager about ingredients, allergies, or requests you are unsure about. Pack and check takeout orders for accuracy, including drinks, sauces, and utensils. Coordinate pickups with guests and delivery drivers. Help with dine-in service, communicate order delays, and bring problems to a manager when needed. Keep the counter, pickup area, and guest areas clean and sanitized. Restock supplies throughout your shift. What we are looking for Someone who arrives on time, is ready to work, and communicates promptly about scheduling issues. A friendly, respectful approach to guests, coworkers, and delivery drivers. The ability to stay organized during busy shifts, pay attention to order details, and help teammates without waiting to be asked. Willingness to learn the menu, ordering system, and service routines.
