Job Description
Are you friendly, responsible, and looking for a part-time job in a fun, fast-paced retail environment? Varmax Liquor Pantry is a local, independent, family-owned wine and liquor store looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused cashier to join our team.
The Role:
As a Cashier, you will be the final point of contact for our customers and play a key role in ensuring a smooth and pleasant shopping experience. This is a part-time position with flexible hours. Weekend and daytime hours are required.Key Responsibilities:
Process Transactions:
Accurately ring up customer purchases using a POS (Point of Sale) system, handle cash and credit card payments and process returns or exchanges.Customer Service:
Greet all customers warmly, answer basic questions about product location or current sales, and direct them to the appropriate sales associate for product recommendations.Maintain Store Standards:
Ensure the register area is clean, well-stocked with bags and supplies, and assist with light stocking and merchandising as needed.Verify Age:
Strictly adhere to all legal requirements by checking IDs for every alcohol purchase and refusing sales to intoxicated or underage individuals.Support Team:
Assist with inventory counts, pricing, and general store upkeepQualifications:
Prior cashier and cash handling experience is required Must be at least 18 years of age. Exceptional customer service and communication skills. Ability to handle transactions accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Reliable, punctual, and highly dependable. Why Join Us?
