Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and attentive Gas Station Cashier to provide excellent customer service at our retail location. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling transactions accurately, maintaining a clean and organized checkout area, and assisting customers with their needs. Bilingual skills are a plus, and prior retail or grocery store experience is preferred. This role requires strong communication skills, basic math proficiency, and the ability to upsell products to enhance customer satisfaction and sales. Duties Operate POS systems efficiently to process cash, credit, and debit transactions Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service Handle cash handling duties with accuracy and integrity Stock shelves and maintain merchandising displays to ensure an appealing shopping environment Assist with product demos and upselling to promote store items Manage inventory levels through stocking and product replenishment Maintain phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely Supervise or assist in supervising other team members when necessary Ensure cleanliness of the checkout area and overall store environment Support retail sales initiatives by promoting products and special offers Qualifications Previous cashiering experience, preferably in a grocery or retail environment Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities (Spanish/English) preferred Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations Knowledge of POS systems and cashiering procedures Experience with merchandising, stocking, and product demos is a plus Supervising experience is desirable but not required Excellent customer service skills with a professional phone etiquette Ability to upsell products effectively to increase sales opportunities Retail sales experience with a focus on grocery store operations is advantageous Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours as needed
