Part-Time Bakery Sales Associate (Mid/Closing Shift)

Position Summary:

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Part-Time Sales Associate for our mid-day and closing shifts. In this role, you will serve our community fresh baked goods, maintain beautiful displays, and execute our nightly breakdown and sanitation procedures.

Pay & Perks:

Compensation:

$12.00 to $13.00 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

Greet guests warmly, share product knowledge, and package baked goods beautifully.

Cash Handling:

Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, process payments, and ensure accurate cash drawer counts.

Store Maintenance:

Restock display cases, update flavor tags, and maintain a pristine storefront.

Nightly Closing Routine:

Pack away unsold inventory, clean and sanitize display cases, and sweep/mop floors.

Register Reconciliation:

Close out the evening register, verify daily sales totals, and secure the storefront at lockup.

Shift Details & Schedule:

Hours:

Part-time (typically 15 to 25 hours per week).

Mid-Shift:

9 am to 2 pm.

Closing Shift:

10:00 AM to 4:00 PM PM (includes post-close cleaning and lockup).

Availability:

Must be available for weekend shifts (Saturday).

Qualifications & Skills:

Age Requirement:

Applicants must be 15 years of age or older.

Reliability:

Punctuality is critical, especially when completing the closing checklist.

Service Mindset:

Enthusiastic, polite, and patient with customers during busy afternoon rushes.

Physical Stamina:

Comfortable standing for 5 to 6 hours and lifting up to 30 lbs.
