Cashier/Office Clerk
Job Description
Receives cash from customers or employees in payment for goods or services by performing the following duties: operates cash register and check stand belt to process customer orders Handles food stamps, coupons, cash, and other forms of payment from customers Makes correct change, cashes checks, and issues receipts to customers Communicates verbally with customers Balances cash register and accounts for receipts periodically during a shift and at the end of the shift Balances cash office at beginning and end of shift Secures all money in safe at the end of the night Bags groceries according to store specifications, clean area, etc.
