Job Description

Job Coach III AbilityWorks of Oklahoma is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Job Coach III to provide one-on-one support to a client requiring total care in a competitive employment setting. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and a strong commitment to promoting inclusion and independence in the workplace. The successful candidate will be friendly, patient, dependable, and professional, with a positive attitude and strong communication skills. This position requires someone who is attentive to the client's needs, works well with others, and is committed to creating a supportive and inclusive employment experience. Key Responsibilities Provide one-on-one support and assistance with job-related tasks to promote success and independence in the workplace. Collaborate with the client and employer to create and maintain a supportive, inclusive work environment. Develop and implement individualized training strategies based on the client's needs and abilities. Monitor the client's progress and adjust support strategies as needed. Maintain clear and professional communication with the client, family members, employer, and other members of the support team. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Must be at least 18 years of age. A valid driver's license is required. Previous cashier, retail, or customer service experience preferred. Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred. Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills. Friendly, patient, dependable, and professional demeanor. Basic math skills with the ability to accurately handle cash and operate a cash register or point-of-sale (POS) system. Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions and maintain confidentiality. Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team. Ability to adapt to individual needs and remain patient and professional when responding to challenging situations. Reliable attendance and a strong commitment to providing a positive and inclusive customer experience.
