Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Cashier to join our retail team. The Cashier will play a key role in ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers while supporting the store's daily operations. Duties Operate cash registers to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently Handle cash drawers with responsibility, ensuring proper cash management and balancing at the end of shifts Provide knowledgeable assistance regarding store products to help customers make informed purchasing decisions Engage in merchandising activities to maintain attractive product displays and ensure shelves are stocked appropriately Assist with stocking shelves and organizing merchandise to support store presentation standards Offer friendly and professional customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly Perform basic math calculations to ensure transaction accuracy and correct change issuance Support overall store operations by maintaining cleanliness, organization, and adherence to safety protocols Experience Candidates should have prior experience in retail or cashier roles preferred but not required. Basic math skills are essential for handling transactions accurately. Excellent communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude are vital for success in this position. Previous experience with cash register operations and familiarity with retail product knowledge will be advantageous. A positive work ethic, reliability, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are highly valued.
