Duties Operate the cash register and POS (Point of Sale) system accurately during retail transactions, including scanning items, processing payments, and issuing receipts Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries Handle cash drawer handling with precision, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed at all times Conduct product demos to showcase new or featured items, encouraging customer engagement and sales opportunities Upsell relevant products and promotions to enhance the shopping experience and increase store revenue Maintain stock levels at the checkout area by assisting with stocking shelves and merchandising products for easy access Demonstrate strong communication skills and phone etiquette when interacting with customers over the phone or in person Requirements Prior experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred, along with familiarity with retail math and cashiering procedures Proficiency in POS systems, cash register operations, and basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing Supervising experience is a plus, especially in overseeing cashiers or supporting team members during busy periods Ability to perform retail store product knowledge tasks such as merchandising, product demos, and stock management Bilingual skills are highly valued to serve a diverse customer base effectively Excellent customer service skills combined with strong communication abilities and phone etiquette Previous experience in grocery stores or retail environments involving retail sales transactions is advantageous Join us to be part of a lively team dedicated to delivering outstanding service while developing your retail career.
