Responsibilities Lead front-of-house team members during your shift, ensuring smooth operations and excellent customer service. Operate POS systems such as Square POS to process food and retail transactions accurately and efficiently. Manage customer orders with professionalism, upselling menu items or products to enhance sales opportunities. Handle cash register operations, process cash and card payments, and maintain accurate cash handling procedures. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to sanitation standards and food safety protocols. Assist with food preparation when needed, supporting kitchen staff to ensure timely service delivery. Support food safety management practices by following proper food handling procedures and sanitation guidelines. Provide training or guidance to new team members on POS systems, customer service standards, and food safety practices. Skills Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments with strong food service customer order management skills. Familiarity with POS systems such as Square POS and Toast POS for retail sales transactions. Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while supporting food preparation tasks. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities during busy shifts. Strong customer service orientation with the ability to upsell products confidently. Basic math skills for processing cash transactions and retail math calculations. Experience in food handling, sanitation, and maintaining a clean workspace in a restaurant or café setting. Previous retail sales or grocery store experience is a plus, demonstrating versatility in sales transactions and customer interactions.
