A Head Cashier manages all checkout functions including ensuring adequate staffing levels on checkouts, the processing of sales transactions and refunds, monitoring cash drawer amounts and maintaining the checkout area. Head cashier provides first level escalation for customer issues and assists in the supervision and training of cashiers. Head cashier may also be responsible for opening or closing procedures of a store, including alarm operation, unlocking store and setting up of checkout area.

Our Tillamook Chevron station is seeking a responsible individual to fill the Lead Cashier opening. This full-time position offers great benefits and competitive wages! Main Functions Operate cash register, lottery machine, and credit card terminals Greet and assist customers, retrieve merchandise, and assist with fuel dispensers Account for all monies, cigarettes, and lottery tickets on assigned shift Stock and price merchandise Check expiration dates and face product Check in vendors Train new employees Provide leadership skills Run fuel dispensers and dispense propane Additional Functions Learn, maintain, and operate all processes associated with the position including paperwork Capable of being management's back-up for short/long periods of absence Be available for call-ins if needed Scheduling flexibility for above-mentioned call-ins and management backup Maintain a team environment with other employees and departments Maintain a high level of customer service and friendly atmosphere Other duties as needed to help maintain a clean and professional environment Light janitorial duties - collect and dispose of trash, wash windows, clean and maintain the equipment, lot, restrooms, fountain area, and building interior/exterior Duties/Requirements Responsible to report to work at the scheduled time; be a team member who can be dependent upon to complete work in a timely, accurate, and thorough manner; be conscientious about assignments Accurately handle money, make deposits, run errands, and get change when asked by management Have a strong attention to detail Excellent customer service skills are a must Will work independently and be self-motivated Have an excellent attendance record Please apply online at www.carsonteam.com/careers
