Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a part-time or full-time Cashier/Sales Assistant, where you'll be at the forefront of delivering exceptional customer experiences. In this lively role, you will handle retail sales transactions, operate cash registers with precision, and assist customers with product information and demos. Your enthusiasm and communication skills will help create a welcoming environment, encouraging upselling and ensuring store merchandising standards are met. Whether you're supporting stock replenishment or engaging customers on the sales floor, your energy will drive our store's success and foster customer loyalty. Responsibilities Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process retail sales transactions accurately and swiftly Handle cash register operations, including cash handling, cash drawer management, and balancing registers at shift end Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and offering product demos when appropriate Assist with stocking shelves, merchandising displays, and maintaining organized product presentation throughout the store Engage customers in upselling opportunities to maximize sales while ensuring a positive shopping experience Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely Support supervising staff during busy periods, helping oversee daily store operations and ensuring smooth workflow Skills Proficiency in POS systems and cash register operations with strong cash handling skills Previous retail sales experience, especially in grocery or similar environments, is highly valued Excellent communication skills in bilingual settings to connect with diverse customer bases Ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions and inventory management Knowledge of retail store product details, merchandising techniques, and stock replenishment procedures Experience in cashiering combined with supervising experience to guide team members effectively Strong customer service orientation with a friendly attitude and professional phone etiquette Capable of conducting product demos and upselling to enhance sales opportunities Familiarity with basic math skills for balancing cash drawers and processing transactions efficiently This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your retail expertise while contributing to a vibrant team environment.
