Job Overview We're looking for a friendly and energetic Restaurant Cashier / Cafe / Deli team member to join our vibrant team. In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for our guests, handling transactions, food service, and ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience. If you love working in a lively setting with a focus on customer satisfaction, this is the perfect opportunity to grow your skills in food handling, cashiering, and fast-paced service. Duties Greet guests warmly and assist with their orders at the register using POS system. Handle cash transactions accurately while providing friendly customer service. Prepare simple food items and assist with food presentation in the café or deli area. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards across the food prep and serving areas, including proper food handling and sanitation practices. Support food safety protocols by following health regulations and proper food storage procedures. Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales through friendly suggestions. Assist with bussing tables, restocking supplies, and keeping the café tidy for an inviting atmosphere. Qualifications Previous experience in food service, cashiering, or retail math is a plus but not required; we're happy to train! Familiarity with POS systems is beneficial. Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and good communication abilities. Ability to manage time effectively during busy periods while multitasking between cashiering and food prep. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and performing quick calculations. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques. Experience working in quick service or fast-food environments is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm to learn is key!
