Responsibilities Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process sales, returns, and exchanges accurately. Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product demos when needed. Handle cash, credit card transactions, and other payment methods with precision and integrity. Upsell products and promote store specials to enhance the customer's shopping experience. Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring the sales floor is inviting and well-presented. Manage inventory through stock checks and assist with product replenishment to ensure availability. Must be able to lift at least 25lbs to put away delivery orders. Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when handling inquiries or coordinating with team members. Support the team with basic retail math calculations for pricing, discounts, and totals as needed. Engage in effective communication with team members to ensure smooth daily operations in a fast-paced grocery store environment. Experience Prior cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Familiarity with Gilbarco POS systems and cash handling procedures is advantageous. Strong communication skills coupled with excellent phone etiquette are essential for success in this role. Previous experience with merchandising, stocking, or product demos will help you excel in maintaining an organized sales floor.
