Job Description Performs cash posting of patient and third party payments to accounts receivable or general ledger within the computer system. Posting may be electronic or manual which includes pulling payment information from several different sources. Responsible for balancing multiple cash posting batches to the corresponding deposit. May periodically be assigned to work at the hospital cashier window, in which duties would include receiving monies and providing receipts, receives and balances point of service collections from multiple clinical areas, and preparation of cash deposits. Minimum Requirements High school diploma or the equivalent
One year of experience in accounts receivables or cashiering
Use 10-key calculator or computer
Accounting/math skills
Strong customer service and communication skills
Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office
Ability to learn new computer processes related to cash posting operations
Ability to reconcile to the bank deposit Preferred Requirements Experience in commercial insurance, Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement
