The Cashier assists customers in completing their purchases while providing friendly and helpful customer service. This position is responsible for processing sales quickly, accurately, and efficiently while maintaining proper cash-handling procedures and creating a positive checkout experience. Duties and Responsibilities Greet customers in a timely and friendly manner and provide outstanding customer service. Accurately and efficiently process customer purchases using the register system. Properly handle and maintain cash and other forms of payment at the register. Process merchandise, returns, and other transactions in accordance with store procedures. Maintain an organized, clean, and professional checkout area. Demonstrate strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Work effectively as part of a team and maintain positive working relationships with customers and coworkers. Demonstrate a willingness to learn and assist with additional duties as needed. Requirements Must be at least 16 years of age. Must successfully complete required pre-employment screening, including a criminal background check. Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time. Ability to lift more than 25 pounds as needed. Must be authorized to work in the United States.
