Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, handle transactions accurately, and contribute to a positive shopping experience. This role requires strong communication skills, proficiency with POS systems, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual abilities are a plus to assist a diverse customer base. The Cashier plays a vital role in maintaining efficient store operations and ensuring customer satisfaction. Duties Operate POS systems efficiently to process sales transactions accurately Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments with precision and integrity Assist customers with product questions and provide product demos when applicable Upsell items and promote store promotions to increase sales Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area Stock shelves and assist with merchandising to ensure attractive product displays Manage inventory levels by stocking shelves and organizing products Ensure proper phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone Supervise or assist in supervising other team members during shifts as needed Support in conducting product demos and promotional activities Experience Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not required; training will be provided Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math is advantageous Bilingual skills are highly desirable to serve a diverse clientele effectively Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and customer service experience, are essential Supervising experience is a plus for candidates interested in leadership roles within the team Experience in grocery stores or similar retail environments will be beneficial This position offers an engaging work environment where excellent communication, sales skills, and customer service are valued.
