Overview Join our dynamic team as a Night Cashier, where you will be the friendly face and efficient operator at our store's checkout counter during evening hours. Responsibilities Operate the cash register (POS system) efficiently to process retail sales transactions, including cash, credit/debit card payments, and mobile payments Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries or demos Handle cash drawer operations with accuracy, including balancing registers at shift end and managing cash handling procedures Upsell products and promote store specials to enhance sales and customer satisfaction Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure the sales floor is clean and well-maintained during your shift Maintain phone etiquette when answering store calls or assisting customers remotely Supervise or assist with product demos to educate customers about new items or promotions when needed Requirements Prior retail sales experience, preferably in grocery stores or similar retail environments Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively Experience in cashiering, retail math, and cash drawer handling with attention to accuracy Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs Knowledge of grocery store products, merchandising, and basic math skills for quick calculations Supervising experience is desirable for leadership opportunities during shifts Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks such as stocking shelves or assisting customers Join us as a Night Cashier and be part of a lively team dedicated to delivering outstanding service while ensuring operational excellence.
