A Head Cashier manages all checkout functions including ensuring adequate staffing levels on checkouts, the processing of sales transactions and refunds, monitoring cash drawer amounts and maintaining the checkout area. Head cashier provides first level escalation for customer issues and assists in the supervision and training of cashiers. Head cashier may also be responsible for opening or closing procedures of a store, including alarm operation, unlocking store and setting up of checkout area.

Responsibilities:
Job Summary:
As a Cash Controller Lead, you'll ensure accurate, efficient operation of the Store's Business Center and Cash Control office.
Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions:
Cash Handling /
Financial Functions:
Prepares, verifies, checks, and maintains all store accounting functions; ensures office / store funds balance Controls consignment inventories Performs all necessary terminal and bank readings Prepares / reconciles tills Visits the sales floor to help with pulls and audits Researches / resolves store accounting variances Performs Business Center Representative duties, as needed Store Lead Operations /
Compliance:
Prepares Cash Control office schedule; monitors Business Center schedule Orders / maintains Cash Office supplies and forms Adheres to H-E-B security / confidentiality guidelines Assists with resolving electronic maintenance / terminal issues Communicates feedback to cashiers as needed Assists manager with preparing performance reviews for Cash Control and Business Center Partners Provides work direction, feedback, and training to Partners Works to achieve department budget and Business Center income Ensures department Partners are MSB-certified and comply with the guidelines Ensures Cash Office / Business Center Partners follow SOPs The responsibilities and essential functions outlined above describe the general nature and level of work assigned to this position.
